My name is Alicia Dick, I am the Mental Health Coordinator for St. Louis County School District. I oversee grants, The Project AWARE Grant and an Anti-Bias Trauma informed grant through the Department of Education. The Project AWARE Grant was awarded in 2022, to build a comprehensive Mental Health System which includes referral pathways externally and internally for mental health services. The Anti-Bias grant is a two year grant that directly complements and supports the Project Aware Grant.

I received my bachelor’s in Psychology in 2012, and my Master’s in Social Work in 2019. I have over 14 years working directly with children, youth, and adults of all abilities. I have worked in several human service professions such as Social Services, Hospital settings, and now a School District. In addition, I have worked and continue to work in a small private practice as an Outpatient Psychotherapist. In my work in St. Louis County School District, I hope to bring support to the community in ways that include education on the neuroscience of stress, adversity, and trauma as well as strengthen relationships through social emotional learning and preventative services. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about what I can do to assist you and your family.

In my free time, I like to spend time outdoors with my family (Husband & two boys (3) (8), outdoor running, and reading. As a community member and an employee, I am grateful to be a part of this district and look forward to the years ahead.
